About Salankaraa School of Dance

Salankaraa School of Dance is a space where women of all ages return to dance— with dignity, purpose, and grace.

With a foundation in Kathak and Rabindra Nritya, Salankaraa offers thoughtful training rooted in tradition, yet responsive to the lives of modern women. Many of our students come to us not at the beginning of their lives, but at a turning point—after long pauses, after years of waiting, or simply with a desire to begin again.

At Salankaraa, age and experience are not measured against ability. We believe that dance is not just for the stage, but also for the self. Each class is a return—to rhythm, to grace, to a part of oneself that was never forgotten, only quiet.

Our programs are designed with care and clarity. Regular performances and seasonal events offer students a chance to step into the shared joy of group expression, while also growing in technique and confidence over time.
